Microsoft has announced the machine tool insert, a new way to plug in an Xbox One or Xbox 360 controller.
The new insert is designed for users who don’t want to change the way they plug in their controllers but need to plug their controller into an outlet to play games.
The insert is compatible with the Xbox One controller, but the Xbox 360 does not.
Microsoft has confirmed that the new machine-tool insert will be available on September 1.
It will also be available at select retailers.
“We’re excited to bring machine-to-machine and machine-plug technology to gamers with our latest device insert, the new Xbox One insert,” said David Cole, Microsoft’s senior vice president of product management.
“It’s one of the most powerful ways we’ve ever designed for Xbox to take advantage of the Xbox ecosystem and connect with the world.”
The Xbox One will be released in the second quarter of 2019.
